If you are trying to conceive, or you think that you may be pregnant, you may notice some very light bleeding. This is going to be a light pink color and it will often occur approximately 10 days after conception has taken place. It is called implantation bleeding and it happens when the embryo implants in your uterus. You will find that this light bleeding will take place before your monthly cycle is suppose to happen so you may notice this bleeding and wonder what is going on

The light bleeding that you may experience is only going to last for a few hours to maybe even a few days. However, you must remember that it will not be as heavy as a regular period. The color of the blood will not be as bright red as it would when you are on your period either.

It can be frightening for individuals that may have had a positive pregnancy test as they may be concerned that they are having a miscarriage. This is not something that all individuals are going to experience when they are pregnant. In fact, you will find that this actually happens to less than 30% of women when they are pregnant.

Therefore, if you do not experience this implantation you should not become concerned, it does not mean that there is anything wrong. You may want to contact your doctor if you had a positive pregnancy test and the bleeding appears to be very heavy and bright. It may help to calm your fears.
